The symptoms are watering nose, the headache, difficulty in concentrating, fever, difficulty in swallowing fluid or water etc. Sore throat is basically the inflammation of throat. This can be caused due to many reasons like inhaling chemical substances and pollutants. But it is mainly caused due to bacterial or viral infections.

The easiest way to soothe one’s throat is to gargle with warm water but gargling wont solve the problem. To solve the problem from its root you will have to search for the following items which will be easily available in your kitchen. Boil a glass of water and then add shredded ginger in the water. Leave it for a while until water temperature becomes drinking temperature. Once the temperature lowers, strain the water into a glass and squeeze in 5 to 6 drops of lemon into the mixture along with some honey. Your drink is ready. You can have a minimum of 2 servings in a day.

Other spices that can help you get rid of sore throat are cayenne pepper, cinnamon, horseradish and echinacea. Simple spices at home can be effective in curing many health problems.
