Indigestion, commonly referred to as a stomach upset, can be triggered or brought on by just about anything – the amount of food you eat, what you eat and not eating at all too! The onslaught can also be brought on by consuming highly fatty foods and while you combat stressful situations. It is when the stomach is not able to digest food properly that the problem arises. To add to the malady, vices such as smoking and drinking alcohol add fuel to the stomach fire. However, you can combat both functional or non-ulcer infection with the help of certain tried and tested natural cures. It helps to increase the intake of water and indulge in good relaxation techniques. You can turn to yoga and aroma therapy to hasten the process. Apple cider vinegar is supposed to be good for indigestion and so is castor oil. People around the world are known to also rely on the essence of almond to induce bowel movement. Indigestion can be kept at bay by consuming a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and indulging only in lean meat, if you are a die hard non-vegetarian. Herb essences of rosemary, tea tree and oregano also help a lot.
