5 Natural Remedies to Help You Sleep Better
Getting plenty of sleep and rest is crucial when it comes to looking after your health. In fact sleep could even be one of the natural remedies I suggest to help you get better and cure your other common health problems. But what happens when we just can’t get to sleep? Do we close our eyes and count sheep? Or do we reach for that bottle of sleeping pills? Luckily there are plenty of natural remedies that can help us to sleep better, here are a few:
1. Get plenty of exercise throughout the day. Gentle exercise is a great way to not only keep fit but to burn off that extra energy too. However, you should avoid exercising late at night, when you should be winding down instead.
2. Avoid drinking coffee, cola, and tea. These types of drinks contain a stimulant called caffeine, and caffeine can keep you awake for longer than you normally would.
3. Try having a warm bath to wind down before bedtime. Dim down the bathroom lights, and fill the bath with your favourite bubbles to relax. Then head straight to your bedroom when you get out whilst you still feel relaxed.
4. Try using Lavender. Lavender is well known for it’s relaxing properties. You can purchase lavender spray to mist your pillows with. Alternatively you could burn some lavender incense or candles whilst relaxing in bed. Or why not try soe lavender and chamomile tea.
5. You could also try out acupuncture to help cure your sleep problem. Accupunture is a procedure that involves a trained person peircing your skin with small needles. Many people claim that acupuncture has helped them get a better night sleep.
